UPSTAIRS, DOWNSTAIRS: LIFE ABOVE AND BELOW GROUND IN A MEADOW
The day starts with a fascinating talk on the Life in the Soil by the talented communicator Dr Matthew Shepherd from Natural England. Workshop options in the afternoon include grasses and wildflower identIfication, guided tours of the meadows at Langaford Farm, plus the chance to take to the floor during the Meadow Makers’ Hour.
The venue for the day is the beautiful 100 acre conservation site, Langaford Farm, near Chagford. Langaford has a mix of pastures, woodland and wetland divided by ancient field boundaries.
The event is for everyone who has a wildflower meadow, or who would like to turn a pasture, or areas in their garden, into one.
TICKETS JUST £6.50, which includes talks, workshops and a cream tea. It’s a relaxed informal day so bring your own picnic.
