Join garden designer Charlotte Parton and renowned ecologist John Walter’s on this inspiring half day workshop on the 9th June at Broadhempston, Devon. The workshop ‘How to Create a Garden Wildlife Haven’ is either a morning or afternoon session, which includes a walk and talk with Charlotte around her 7 acres site, which includes an ancient cider orchard and hay meadow. Find out how Charlotte made her garden wildflower meadow, nature pond and learn about the land management techniques that have significantly increased the wildlife biodiversity. Then there will be a ‘mini-beast hunt’ and ID session with ecologist John Walters. John works as a consultant entomologist and naturalist on many television and radio programmes including The One Show. and recently on David Attenborough’s latest TV series, Wild Isles. Commenting on Charlotte’s land, John says it has a ‘rich diversity of insect life including grasshoppers and wild bees that has vanished from the surrounding landscape’.
The workshop is £12, including tea and cake. All funds raised are for Moor Meadows.
