Harvest Mouse workshop

Moor Meadows and Devon Mammal Group’s Harvest Mouse Project have teamed up to provide a free training session on the elusive and tiny harvest mouse. They live in a variety of habitats, including tussocky grassland. In the morning we’ll be learning about their ecology, their nests and where to find them. There will be a practical session in the early afternoon looking for their beautiful woven grass nests at nearby Brook Manor.

The Meadow Makers’ Conference marks the 10th anniversary of Moor Meadows and brings together landowners, farmers, and gardeners for a day filled with expert talks, inspiring ideas, and practical advice - all within the broader context of nature recovery. The event will take place in the spacious Jubilee Hall in Chagford, Dartmoor. During the breakout sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to visit several nearby meadows.
